Build a Water Viewer

Not all bugs live on land, fly through the air or burrow into soil or leaves.  Some insects actually live under water!  Here’s an easy way to make your own waterscope and see them for yourself.  You might even see some tadpoles or fish swim by!

Safety First!
Fast or deep water can be dangerous!  Don’t go in water above your knees and stay out of fast moving water altogether!  Always check with Mom or Dad first, bring a buddy and let them know where you’ll be.

What you’ll need:

• an old milk carton
• plastic wrap
• large rubber band or duct tape
• scissors
