About AndyCamper
AndyCamper Inc. is a new media company that develops interactive Adventure stories and skills-based Activities for children between the ages of 6 and 12. AndyCamper’s mission is to contribute to the development of children through interactive, entertaining and educational content that encourages outdoor activity and fuels the imagination. Our goal is simply to reconnect kids with the outdoors, and to make ‘outside’ synonymous with ‘fun’.
Through the use of contemporary and mobile technology we work to provide children with humorous, engaging, interactive and informative content that is activity based and environmentally focused. Wherever possible, this content is made portable, so that children can interact with it and apply it outside of the home. This is accomplished by either printing out stories or activity cards, or by downloading videos to iPods and/or other handheld devices. By concentrating upon portability AndyCamper enables children to continue the "AndyCamper experience" while camping, at the cottage, at a local park or simply playing in the backyard.
If you are a parent, teacher or otherwise play an influential role in a child’s life and would like to share your thoughts and ideas with the AndyCamper team, please do so here. We are constantly reaching out into child, environmental and health focused communities and would love to hear from you.
Welcome to the world of AndyCamper.
The AndyCamper Team
Our Partners:
MEC (Mountain Equipment Co-op) is Canada’s leading retailer of outdoor clothing and equipment. Just like AndyCamper, the people at MEC are passionate about Outdoor Activities and want to make sure that you are safe, dry and warm while having fun outside. They offer a lot of kid friendly gear, much of which is made from organic or recycled materials. If you are heading out on an AndyCamper type of adventure, you should check out MEC before you go.
Who We Support:
The team at AndyCamper believes that the world is our playground, and that if we are going to ask our kids to look after their things and to pick up after themselves, then we should do the same. One of the ways we do this is by supporting organizations that are educating people about nature and working hard to preserve the great outdoors. AndyCamper is proud to support the following groups:
GeoCaching.com - www.geocaching.com
David Suzuki Foundation - www.davidsuzuki.org
Nature Canada - www.naturecanada.ca
The Trans Canada Trail - www.tctrail.ca
